Sinquerim Beach and Fort Aguada

Fort Aguada is a well-preserved seventeenth-century Portuguese fort, along with a lighthouse, standing on Sinquerim Beach, overlooking the Arabian Sea. It is an ASI protected Monument of National Importance in Goa.

Sinquerim is not the most popular beach of the coast, so you can count on a calm and relaxing holiday.

Best beaches of North Goa

Calangute Beach is a noisy resort, which is very popular with youth of Europe, India and nearby Islands. This beach is also called «Queen of Goa beaches» thanks to the developed infrastructure and various water activities.

Anjuna beach is a central beach in North Goa, located on the territory of an Anjuna Village, 8 km from Mapusa. This is the noisy and funny resort which is never sleeps. The length of the shore is 2 km, the beach is narrow, in the sea there are rocks that are visible at low tide.

Vagator Beach. Turned up 22 km from the Panaji, the Vagator beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Goa that is enclosed with soft white sand and speckled by huge black rocks, coconut & palm trees. It is famous due to its dynamic cliffs and its secluded nature. Tourists visit here to view the sunset through the rocks that is quite marvellous.

Saligao Church

Although Goa has so many churches, each more beautiful than the next, the Mae de Deus Church at Saligao has extraordinary written all over it. With striking exteriors matched by equally if not more magnificent interiors, this is a church that will take your breath away.

With its signature buttresses, supporting the outer walls and capped with a series of tapering spires towering all around the main structure, the Mae de Deus Church stands out in the lush green landscape, for its sheer breathtaking beauty. The church was blessed and consecrated on November 26 1873. Inside the church, it is the altar that will grab your attention for the opulence of its glittering reredos, meticulously carved and gilded to perfection. In addition to the main altar, there are six other altars as is typical with most Portuguese churches.
